Our Publishing Focus

We publish worship and ministry resources by New Zealand authors, offering both print and eBook formats for sale worldwide. Our books support and enrich church life, worship, and spirituality.

 

What We Produce

Each book typically includes:

• A New Zealand print edition (for direct and wholesale local sales)
  
  
• An Amazon print-on-demand edition (soft or hard cover, listed globally)
  
  
• An IngramSpark print edition (for bookshops and libraries worldwide)
  
  
• A PDF eBook (sold via our website)
  
  
• An ePub/Kindle edition (sold on Amazon, Kobo, Smashwords, and our website)
  
  

How It Works

1. You send us your manuscript (Microsoft Word format) for review.
   
   
2. We agree the costs and sign a publishing contract with you.
   
   
3. We work with you to edit, design, and format your book for both print and eBook formats.
   
   
4. You pay a publishing fee ($1,500–$2,500, depending on book length/complexity).
   
   
5. You earn income by:

• • Buying copies at wholesale to sell directly.
  • Receiving 25% of net sales proceeds from books we sell.

Preparing Your Manuscript

We expect a well-polished manuscript, not a first draft. Before submission:

• Print and read your manuscript aloud to catch errors.
• Simplify long sentences.
• Get feedback from someone you trust.
• Spell check your document using NZ English.

We’ll then work with you to copy edit and polish it further.

Submitting Your Idea

Email your manuscript to books@pgpl.co.nz, along with:

• A 1–2 paragraph summary
• Your credentials or expertise
• Your target audience
• Key selling points
• Ways you can help promote the book (e.g. contacts, social media)

We’re also open to republishing previously printed books as eBooks.

Please allow 2–3 months for review of your manuscript.

Our Publishing & Marketing Services

When we publish your book, we will:

• Notify NZ library suppliers and the National Library (including legal deposit)
• Advise NZ Christian bookshops
• List your book in Nielsen BookData for international discoverability
• Offer PDF review copies to Tui Motu and Touchstone
• List your book on our website and:
  • Amazon (print & Kindle)
  • IngramSpark (print for trade)
  • Kobo, Smashwords, Draft2Digital (ePub)
  • Wheelers NZ ePlatform (libraries)
• Promote through our email newsletters
• Create a free A4 promotional flyer for you to use

Print Book Process

• You submit finalised manuscript.
• We design the cover and interior layout.
• You review and approve PDF drafts.
• We assign an NZ ISBN and print in NZ via Printing.com.
• We upload to Amazon and IngramSpark for global print-on-demand.
• You receive 3 free NZ print copies.
• You can buy more copies at wholesale pricing.

We deduct from net proceeds:

• Printing costs
• Retailer/reseller margin
• 5% US withholding tax (if applicable)
• Credit card processing charges
  
• NZ GST
• Freight/postage

You earn 25% of net cash sales from books we sell.
